Probably the key element of the iLab and iProductions, is the machine room. This is the central core in which all the data comes and goes.  The data from movie clips to the audio and special effects will be moving in and out at the speed of light.  The amount of data that will be flowing in and out of this room will equal a lot of small cities. This is where the advance ATM and fiber optic infrastructures come into play.

One part of the machine room is the advanced storage system. Utilizing Storage Area Network (SAN) and Fibre Channel technologies, along with an ATM backbone, Technical Directors, compositors, sound engineers and special effects artists can get the data that they need. With over 10 Terabytes of storage and the ability to scale when needed, the iProduction's Machine room is a remarkable use of technology.

The  machine room also includes Video Tape Recorders (VTR) for both standard (SD) and High Definition (HD) quality, plus all the supporting equipment needed.

Our 4800 sq. ft. office will be packed with all the latest equipment. A new standard of network technology needs to be implemented in order to make the change into the digital realm.
